Ole Hald is a professor of mathematics at Cal. He is also a winner of the 1990 Distinguished Teaching Award.[1]
Background[]
Professor Hald earned his Ph.D. from the University of New York in 1972, advised by Professor Olof B. Widlund[2]. His dissertation was on On Discrete and Numerical Inverse Sturm-Liouville Problems. He has served as advisor to at least 9 Ph.D students.[3]
